Keeping Your Makeup Brushes Clean and How to Clean Them

Keeping your makeup brushes clean is really important to stop the spreading of bacteria onto your face leading to blemishes. Every time you use a brush ,your adding bacteria to the brush but your also spreading bacteria onto your face too so if you don't wash your  brushes for two or three months you'll be putting alot of bacteria onto your face! I suggest washing your brushes every one to two weeks if you use them everyday. I find alot of other bloggers say to use a cleanser made specifically for washing brushes but I just use baby shampoo!
I use Johnson's Baby Shampoo,it's priced at about €1.99 and the bottle is quite big so it's very affordable. It's really effective for removing oil-based foundations and powders.

To begin washing your brushes you need hot water and a brush cleanser or shampoo of whatever kind. First ,wet the brush and apply the cleanser or shampoo to the palm of your hand, lather the brush by swirling it etc. You'll be surprised by the amount of product that comes out! Then secondly ,rinse the brush. If you feel like the brush isn't clean enough just repeat the process again. Leave the brushes to dry ,sometimes the brush might not be dry the next morning if they are very thick so I'd give them twenty four hours to dry. It's really simple to do and will save your face from all that bacteria build up on your brushes!
